Hello! My name is Bethany McCall. Recently my sister, Tia, took her own life after a long battle with mental health challenges. Despite her struggles and the heavy burden she carried, Tia was a dedicated CNA for over 20 years, caring for seniors with compassion and strength. Her work ethic and unwavering efforts to provide for her son, Quentin (Q), as a single mother are a testament to her resilience. Sometimes, even the strongest among us can feel overwhelmed, and Tia ultimately sought peace from her pain.
In this heartbreaking situation, my hope is to show Q that even in the darkest times, the light shines the brightest. Tia and Q depended on each other not only financially, but emotionally and mentally. Q was the reason Tia kept fighting for so long, and now, as he transitions to living with me in Wisconsin, I want to help him find hope and healing. This move is a big change for Q, and I am committed to supporting his mental health, helping him adjust, and showing him he is not alone in this next chapter. Q is an intelligent, funny kid, and I believe this transition can open doors he never thought possible, even though it comes under the worst circumstances.
We are seeking support for funeral expenses, estate planning, moving costs, travel between Nebraska and Wisconsin, fixing up a car for Q, personal items like a bed and clothes, cleaning out the house, medical insurance and care, school enrollment, and other unforeseen expenses that come with the sudden loss of a loved one. Your support will help us honor Tia’s memory and give Q the stability and care he needs as we navigate this difficult journey together.
