Our hearts are completely broken. On January 8, 2026, our family suffered the sudden and devastating loss of my 16-year-old nephew, Qadir. Qadir was a bright light in all of our lives. At just 16, he was laid back, intelligent, and witty. He could make anyone laugh. He had his whole life ahead of him, and his passing has left a hole in our family that can never be filled.

Our loss is further complicated by Qadir's father being deployed to Kuwait. We are trying to get him back home so he can be here to put our precious Qadir to rest. Because this loss was so unexpected, we are reaching out to our community for help. We want to give Qadir the beautiful farewell he deserves and help his parents navigate the financial burden of funeral and memorial expenses during this impossible time. All funds raised will go toward funeral and burial services, memorial costs, supporting his parents with time off work as they grieve, and helping bring his father home.
