On March 28, 2020, our world lost a truly amazing light in our lives and our hearts, our beloved Guru/Baba, Pundit Dharshan Adesh Sookdeo.
Pdt. Adesh unexpectedly lost a courageous battle against cancer, departing this realm and leaving our world a little less bright. He passed away peacefully on Saturday night approx. 9 pm leaving behind his family, brothers, sisters, cousins, in-laws, his god-children, countless devotees, friends, temple devotees and religious organizations reeling from his loss here in his home state of New York, states across the US, in Trinidad and around the world.
He was a dear and beloved Guru, a loving and devoted husband to Vashty and a wonderful father to their young children, Pooja and Prashaan. They are his pride and joy. Punditji was a most gentle, humble, soft-spoken, kindhearted, generous and pure soul. He always wore a smile, greeting you with the kindest of words, always offering words of comfort and inspiration. He touched many lives, many hearts and families in his godly work. We remain forever blessed and privileged to have known Pundit Adesh and through him his young family.
Bhagavan Krishna calls home all his earthly angels and our very dear baba heeded that call. We are at loss as to how to cope during these most challenging times and how we must support his dear wife and young children.
Some have graciously asked for ways to help and to give support to Baba’s family.
With this very unexpected and devastating news, on behalf of his family this fund was created to help with the unexpected funeral costs and to set up a scholarship plan/education fund for his 2 young children.
Pdt. Adesh’s wife, Vashty will administer the fund. We thank you for your love and support.
Let us all show our love, our devotion and our support for the life of a great soul, Pundit Adesh who will never be forgotten. We urge you to share with everyone who knew him, on your social media pages and via email.
His legacy of love and devotion is permanently etched in our hearts and he has truly left a special mark upon each and every one who crossed his path. He is cherished and loved always.
