From magic to tragic—my daughter started her night with excitement, looking absolutely gorgeous and ready for prom. But that special night turned into a nightmare when gunfire broke out at a high school prom after party. She ran for her life, only to be struck by a car, leaving her unconscious with multiple wounds and broken bones. Now, I sit by her side, watching her fight for recovery with tubes down her throat, grateful that she is in stable condition and showing signs of life.

No parent should ever have to worry if their child will come home after what was supposed to be a joyful occasion. The road ahead will be long and challenging, but my daughter is strong, and with the support of our community, we believe she can overcome this. Her life has been changed forever, and we are doing everything we can to help her heal and adapt to new circumstances.
