Your encouragement and willingness to support me has meant the world, and I’m grateful for the community that’s come together around this exciting project.

"Spirals and Dirt" is the meshing of two shorter musicals that I wrote for 8th grade students. Combining the shows allowed me to add a love story! Here is a short description.

Four 20-something friends leaf through a scrapbook and reflect on

childhood experiences. The path is seldom straight--it may be obscure, dirty, curving/swerving. Life gives us moments where we become orchids or dahlias or...? In the end, the four friends recognize that you must be true to yourself. We all need time, and dirt, (and perhaps a tango!) to bloom.

This staged reading is but the first step towards the goal of presenting my full-length, fully staged musical.
