Emergency Help Needed After Apartment Fire

Hi everyone,

My name is Prince, and I’m asking for help during one of the hardest moments my family has ever faced.

A fire broke out in my mom’s apartment building, leaving her home — and four other apartments — completely unlivable. My mom is disabled and uses a wheelchair, and right now we have nowhere stable to go. The Red Cross was able to help with one night of emergency shelter, but after that, we are on our own while everything gets figured out. We were told it could be days or even weeks before her apartment is safe again.

I’m doing my best to keep her safe, comfortable, and cared for, but it’s just me, and this situation has become overwhelming emotionally and financially. We urgently need help with:

• Temporary housing

• Meals

• Replacing essential items damaged or lost

• Medical-related needs and accessibility items
