On June 20th, 2026, a tragic accident occurred that forever changed the lives of the Potts family. Leila Potts, just 19 years old, and her unborn son, Vincent, lost their lives in a devastating car crash. Medical staff worked tirelessly and delivered baby Vincent a few weeks early, but due to the injuries sustained, neither Leila nor her baby survived. The heartbreak and shock have left the family reeling, struggling to come to terms with the loss of both mother and child.

David Potts, Leila’s father, is a Navy veteran and a single parent to two daughters, Leila and Annabeth. As David faces the unimaginable pain of losing his daughter and grandson, he is also confronted with the financial burden of funeral costs. The family is asking for help to cover the expenses needed to lay Leila and Vincent to rest, so they can focus on healing and honoring their memories.

I am reaching out as David’s best friend, hoping to rally support from our community.
