Support for Polly Jackett
Donation protected
On Mon 24th of Feb, the Jackett family received terrifying news - their youngest daughter Polly had a brain tumour.
For two weeks leading up, her parents, Claire and Michael noticed instability in Polly’s walking but frighteningly, there were no other warning signs.
Polly was rushed to the Royal Children’s Hospital and operated on immediately by the best neurosurgeons in the country.
After a gruelling 14hr surgery, a peach-sized tumour was removed and the operation deemed a success.
Whilst recovery is good, Claire & Michael are now processing the reality that this tumour is brain cancer.
Yep. Their precious little almost 4 year old has both radiation and chemotherapy ahead of her.
As the family enter a heavy period of cancer treatment at Peter Mac and the Royal Children’s, the last thing they need to feel is financial pressure.
Therefore we’re hoping to raise funds so that Michael & Claire can be 100% present to support Polly and her two siblings.
Apart from alleviating work and covering new expenses, funds can also give Polly access to moments that bring her joy and distraction, so her magical spirit remains buoyant through the challenges ahead.
Thanks for reading. And for those kind enough to donate… words can’t express what it means. ❤️
