I'm reaching out to you all as friends, family, and loved ones. My sister Pippa had her world torn apart this evening. While at work, her love, her rock, her fiancé—her everything—was murdered. Gary was stabbed to death while doing his job as a security officer in the shopping mall near where they live. He was a wonderful, gentle giant, a man who would do anything to help anyone and who worked hard every day. I was so very blessed to have met and known him, and I had great comfort in the fact that my sister truly had a one-in-a-million partner.

Gary leaves behind my sister, his son Ross, and two grandchildren. As most of you know, we also lost our mum very suddenly just over a year ago and are still trying to come to terms with her passing. Gary was an absolute pillar of strength to us both during that difficult time. Now, with this unimaginable loss, my sister is devastated and facing challenges no one should have to endure.
