Nuestro querido Carlos Pineda, de 49 años, fue un Guatemalteco que siempre era muy feliz, amable,  humilde, de buen corazón y fiel a Dios. Carlos fallecio en el 15  de Octubre, 2020, dejando a su familia: su esposa Thelma, y sus tres hijos, Carlos  Jr. (21), Fabiola (15) y Aileen (10), de quienes el estaba muy orgulloso.

Carlitos (como le decíamos en la iglesia) trabajo por muchos años en una bodega  de cargamento manejando un montacargas. Derepente, fue despedido, y no pudo encontrar trabajo fijo. Su hijo, Carlos Jr., tuvo que encargarse de proveer por su familia. 

Carlitos fue de  emergencia al hospital hace tres semanas por un problema renal y resulta que también estaba contagiado por el COVID-19. Le hicieron diferentes tratamientos y aún asi estuvo en coma. Después de luchar por tres semanas,  su cuerpo dejó de funcionar. Carlitos nunca salió del hospital y ahora es un número más en las estadísticas del COVID-19 de este año. Carlitos se fue con el   Señor el 15 de Octubre del 2020.  

Siempre estuvo activo en su comunidad. Asistía a todas las reuniones de la iglesia, ayudaba a llevar alimentos a los indigentes en Santa Ana. Su equipo favorito de futbol era el América. Le encantaba ver los partidos de futbol los domingos después de la iglesia tomando café con pan “chapín”. Nunca paro de alabar al Señor, aun durante sus tiempos duros. El siempre estaba con una sonrisa grande y contagiosa. 

Con todo el dolor emocional y el estrés que trae una muerte, también trae cargas financieras. Estamos tratando de recaudar fondos para ayudar a Thelma y sus hijos con los costos que puedan incurrir y para ayudar donde sea necesario. Te agradecemos por tu ayuda, con lo que puedas, de todo corazón.

Su iglesia, Príncipe de Paz de la Church of the Brethren en Santa Ana, CA, colectó una ofrenda de amor este Domingo y de los fondos de la iglesia recibirá tambien. También se hará un lavado de carros y comida para llevar este Sábado en el
estacionamiento de la Iglesia Príncipe de Paz y una kermés en la comunidad donde vivía. 

Our dear Carlos Pineda, 49 years old, was a Guatemalan who was always very happy, kind, humble, with a good heart and faithful to God. Carlos passed away on October 15, 2020, leaving his family: his wife Thelma, and their three children, Carlos Jr. (21), Fabiola (15) and Aileen (10), of whom he was very proud.

Carlitos (as we called him in church) worked for many years in a cargo warehouse driving a forklift. Suddenly, he was fired, and could not find a steady job. His son, Carlos Jr., had to take care of providing for his family. Carlitos went to the emergency hospital three weeks ago for a kidney problem and it turns out that he was also infected with COVID-19. They gave him different treatments and he was still in a coma. After struggling for three weeks, his body stopped working. Carlitos never left the hospital and is now one more number in this year's COVID-19 statistics. Carlitos went with the Lord on October 15, 2020.

He was always active in his community. He attended all church meetings, helped bring food to the homeless in Santa Ana. His favorite soccer team was America. He loved to watch soccer games on Sundays after church, having coffee with “chapin” bread. He never stopped praising the Lord,
even during his tough times. He was always with a big, contagious smile.

With all the emotional pain and stress that a death brings, it also brings financial burdens. We are trying to raise funds to help Thelma and her children with any costs they may incur and to help where needed. We thank you for your help, with what you can, with all our heart.

His church, Prince of Peace of the Church of the Brethren in Santa Ana, CA, collected a love offering this Sunday and will receive from church funds as well. There will also be a car wash and takeaway this Saturday at the Príncipe de Paz Church parking lot and a kermés in the community where he lived.
