My name is Essence Edwards, and I’m creating this fundraiser for my boyfriend and his family. On the night of the accident, his sister left the house around 12:07 AM to pick him up from his first day of work. I was on the phone with them as they headed home on the 405 freeway going North. Suddenly, someone driving south in the northbound lanes hit them head-on. The woman was drunk and going the wrong way, causing a devastating crash.


The impact killed Myeisha instantly and left my boyfriend with a fractured hip, a ruptured spleen, burns and cuts on his face, and bruises all over his body. Myeisha was only 38 years old and leaves behind two children—a 13-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy. She was set to graduate college next year for business management, and she was just trying to help her brother get home safely.


This tragedy has left our family heartbroken and facing overwhelming challenges. The funds raised will go toward any and every need for this family in this time of need.
