Support for Phillip "Smitty" Smith’s Recovery

Phillip "Smitty" Smith is my hero. On November 7, 2025, he suffered several strokes that have left him unable to talk, walk, or move except to roll to his side in bed. Despite these challenges, Phillip’s spirit remains strong—he still has his beautiful smile, and his determination inspires everyone around him. I know that God has a purpose for him and for us, and giving up is never an option.
I have taken FMLA from my job at Holt Truck Centers so I can be by Phillip’s side for his therapy and learn everything I need to care for him when he comes home. This means I am not receiving pay during this time, and I am doing everything I can to make sure Phillip gets the best chance at recovery. If I am able to return to work sooner, I will, but right now, it’s not clear when that could happen. Holt Truck Centers has been incredibly supportive, and I am grateful for their understanding.
The funds raised will help cover the income I am losing while I am on unpaid leave, allowing me to focus on Phillip’s recovery and provide the care he needs. Your support will make a real difference in helping Phillip regain his quality of life. Please consider donating, sharing our story, and keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. Hug your family and friends daily, and let them know you love them.
