Support for Philip Vasquez's Final Journey

Donation protected
My younger brother Philip Vasquez has passed away in Banda Aceh, Indonesia this past Friday. He was there to relax and recover after his bout with cancer last year. This was a location where he initially wanted to celebrate his 40th birthday, as we have an aunt and cousin who live there. He loved the climate and the ambience on the island.
Unfortunately, he obtained what he thought was an ear infection from swimming in the warm Indian Ocean. This infection was bacterial meningitis and within three days in the ICU, being placed in an induced coma, he left this world on his last trip. I am glad he is no longer in any pain and that he lived his life the way that he wanted.

My mother and brother arrived in Indonesia a day late, and now are faced with the task of paying for the hospital bill and expenses to bring his body back to California. We know that Philip would never want to leave this burden on his parents, so if you are inclined to donate in memory of him, it would be greatly appreciated. We also have several paintings of his that I am sure he would want to be shared.

We have not solidified the plans for the memorial service. It depends on how soon we can fly his body back. We are tentatively planning on a service on Friday 6/14/24 at Christ Temple Apostolic Church in Sacramento. We are also planning a small hike the following day in memory of him, which would have been his 41st birthday.

Please email me or text me if you are interested in attending the services.

Kind regards,

Samuel Vasquez
