Support for Phi Yen

This fundraiser is to support the family of Phi Yen, the beautiful and brave Vietnamese dancer who moved in Cairo to pursue her dreams to be a star.

Phi Yen was an exceptional artist, and I am honored to have known her. We first connected in February 2020 when she started to consider coming to Cairo to work, and finally arrived in May 2021. Not many dancers in this world are bold enough to take the career risk to move to a new country, but Phi Yen was not one to be deterred by struggle and she took every challenge as a chance to push herself to a new level.

Although I did not know her very well, I still felt a very strong connection to Phi Yen and she will be greatly missed. While her family costs are unknown at this time, we want to support her family in anything they might need.
