On Saturday morning, my granddaughter Peyton was in a devastating car accident and was ejected from the vehicle. She suffered a compound fracture of 4 vertebrae in her back, broken clavicle, spleen and lung laceration, and a pneumothorax at the top of her lung. Since the accident, Peyton has been in the trauma unit, receiving intensive care and fighting to recover from her injuries.

My daughter, Samantha, and her husband, Miles, have been by Peyton’s side every moment, facing not only the emotional toll but also the financial strain that comes with such a serious situation. The medical bills are mounting, and there are additional costs for therapy, braces, and equipment needed for Peyton’s care at home. On top of that, Samantha and Miles are dealing with lost wages and unexpected expenses as they stay with Peyton and support her through this difficult time.

I am asking for support to help with Peyton’s care. Peyton has a long road ahead to recovery, and I hope to help Samantha and Miles relieve some of the burden they face while they focus on her healing and the challenges ahead.
