Right now, Peyton is fighting one of the hardest battles she’s faced so far. After being admitted to Children’s Hospital with Parainfluenza 2, her condition worsened and she is now intubated in the ICU while her little body works to heal and recover. Doctors have already told us to expect her to be here for at least five days, but probably even longer now that she’s on a breathing tube. Honestly, everything from here is completely up to Peyton and how her body responds.
As most of you know, Peyton was born with a rare condition called Rhizomelic Chondrodysplasia Punctata (RCDP), and since the day she was born she has already endured more than most people ever will: oxygen support, feeding tubes, surgeries, countless appointments, hospital stays, therapies, and now another major fight for her health. Through every setback, she continues to show us just how strong and resilient she is.
With everything happening, her parents, Ally and the rest of our family, have been staying by her side around the clock. Right now there is no real income coming in, and the financial burden of daily hospital expenses is becoming overwhelming on top of everything else emotionally.
