Our dear friend, Peyman R, suffered a cardiac arrest on Saturday, March 30, 2019 while running on a trail, one of his favorite activities.
With his determination and strength, he fought back and regained consciousness after a week. Unfortunately, subsequent complications in the ICU led to his lungs collapsing causing severe brain damage. Peyman has been in coma since April 14 and is currently fighting back for his life.
He is a bright PhD student at UT Austin, and a beloved teaching assistant who loves and cares for his students. He is full of life and a role model husband who deeply loves his wife. He has worked very hard towards his goals and ambitions and has influenced many lives with his kindness and generosity. Being an international student, his job at UT was the only source of income for his family, which could no longer be retained. Soon they will have to move out of university apartments since Peyman is not able to register for the upcoming semesters in his current state. The hospital bills are piling up in addition to living expenses.
Therefore, we humbly ask everyone to help Peyman, his wife, Setareh, and their Dalmatian, Kaya during this difficult period in their lives. Please have Peyman and his family in your thoughts and prayers. Your help is greatly appreciated. God bless you and your beloved ones.
