Hi my name is Maree Hynes and I am organising this fundraising appeal for my dear brother Pete (Perce) Coakley and his partner Trish and their son Jack.
To say my brother and his family have been dealt a rough hand, would be an understatement. Pete was recently diagnosed with Lung and Brain Cancer and has the battle of his life ahead of him, however the prognosis provided hasn’t been promising. He is currently undergoing a combined treatment of chemotherapy and radiation.
He is up for the fight and has the best outlook on life, but this time he needs our help as is unable to work and needs to focus 100% on his health and making the most of every day. We want to reduce the financial burden of him not being able to work and enable him to spend some quality time with his family, whilst he can.
He has always been a hard worker to support his young family. Now not being able to drive or see properly there are many of life daily tasks that are very challenging.
As if that isn’t enough, Trish is also recovering from her ongoing fight against Breast Cancer. Trish is Pete’s rock and needs our support to relieve the financial pressure of living expenses. Their son, 14 year old Jack, also needs additional support being home schooled.
Pete has just turned 55 and is honestly the life of every party, has a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his back if you needed it. He is much loved by everyone that meets him and has an infectious laugh.
