Bernard Peter Rombalski Jr (Pete, Rambo) passed away on July 26th, 2026 at age 52 from suicide. His sudden death has left his family and friends devastated. Pete played a huge role in the Jackson County community through his service at the prison where he worked for 28 years, there he was known as Rambo. Pete also served in the US Navy for 14 years prior to working at JCI. His sudden death has broken all of our hearts.

He is survived by both parents and in-laws, his wife, 5 children, and 2 grandchildren. My father was always happy to help anyone who needed it, and I have heard from many that he made a difference in their life. Pete was the kind of person who would go out of his way to support others, whether it was through his work or simply being there for a friend in need. The impact he made on the community and our family is immeasurable, and his absence will continue to be felt every day.
