Our beloved friend and longtime Puako resident, Pete Jones, passed away peacefully August 4th, 2025 after his brave battle with cancer. As we begin to grieve this heartbreaking loss, the ‘ohana of the Puako General Store are coming together to offer support to Wendy and the family.

This GoFundMe account will help cover the expenses associated with Pete’s care, as well as final arrangements and support for Wendy during this difficult time.

Pete has been a cherished part of the Puako community for many years, and his impact was felt Island-wide through his business, Pete’s Plumbing. So many of us have been touched by his warmth, kindness, and generous spirit.

Now, we invite the community to come together in honor of Pete.

Wendy has kindly asked for privacy at this time, and we respectfully ask that everyone honor her wishes as she navigates this personal loss.
