My name is Nader. I was born and raised in Lebanon. Although I don't live there and I only go for short visits once a year, my heart is still there because despite everything my country has been through it still brings good memories to me.
Unfortunately lately things changed a lot. Lebanon, a country already suffering from the worst economic disaster, record high unemployment, corruption and failed revolution aimed to get rid of the current politicians crushing the hope of most of the population.
Then a pandemic hits which paralyzed rich and developed country, not to mention a country already on its knees..
A devastating explosion which hit the heart of the capital Beirut leaving behind destruction, death and thousands of injured people. To top that many lost their homes just like that and now they are homeless in a country that is not even able to provide the basic necessities for its people such as electricity.
Having said that I'm traveling in few days to Lebanon for family matters. I will be in touch with people that have been affected directly and indirectly by the Beirut port disaster that occurred on August 4th.
I will do whatever I can to help those that need help. Some friends knowing that I'm going there soon wanted to send donations with me. I thought that by creating this Gofundme page I might be able to reach more people and give the opportunity for those who want to help to do so.
With your support your donation will be hand delivered directly to those most in need.
Thank you!
