This weekend, our valued team member Paul Watson was tragically struck head-on while riding his motorcycle. Paul survived the horrific accident, but his injuries were severe—he was airlifted to a hospital in Rockford, IL, where he remains in a medically induced coma on a ventilator. All four of Paul’s limbs have multiple breaks, and he suffered internal organ damage resulting in internal bleeding. The full extent of his recovery is still unknown, and his family faces a long, uncertain road ahead.

Paul is married and has three young children at home. His absence will be deeply felt, and even when he is able to return, the challenges for his family will be significant—physically, emotionally, and financially. The funds raised will help cover immediate and ongoing medical bills, as well as household expenses, so Paul’s family can focus on his healing without the added stress of financial hardship.

Paul has been with Speedway Auto Parts in Joliet, IL for 10 months, and previously worked as a driver for Midwest Trucking, serving as our PRP parts runner. He is known for his dedication and positive spirit, and his contributions to our team have made a lasting impact. With this power in numbers, we make all sorts of amazing things happen in the used parts world daily. Today, I ask this team all across the USA and Canada with a very heavy heart—let’s please come together one more time and make something amazing happen for Paul and the Watson family!
