So many of you already know these two extraordinary souls, but for those who haven’t had the blessing yet, allow us to introduce Paul and Nancy Sattler. To know them is to love them. They are the kind of people who radiate kindness without trying, who give without being asked, who love with their whole hearts. Whether you met them through their years of making music, through church, or simply crossed paths by chance, you were likely touched by their warmth. Paul and Nancy are living examples of what is still good and pure in this world.

Many of us know Paul as “Paulie Jo” or “PJ”, and recently he faced one of the hardest battles of his life: esophageal cancer. By the grace of God, through the power of prayer, love, and the hands of incredible doctors and nurses—Paulie WON his fight. But victory did not come without sacrifice. Paul and Nancy spent 67 long, painful days in the hospital, enduring setback after setback, clinging to faith through Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.

On January 4th, Paulie finally came home. He is still healing, still fighting, and still has another round of chemo ahead—but for the first time in a long time, there is light shining at the end of the tunnel.

During this long journey, and for the foreseeable future, neither Paul nor Nancy is able to work. And as we all know, life doesn’t pause for hardship. We are asking, from the bottom of our hearts, for help easing the financial burden so they can focus on what truly matters: healing, rest, and being together.
