Support for Paul and Elsbeth's Recovery Year

Hello, my name is Aislinn and I am raising funds to support my sister, Elsbeth, and her husband, Paul. These two people are perhaps the most lovely humans I have ever met, and I am sure if you have met them you would say the same thing. Serious health issues have plagued their lives for years, but the past 6 months have been particularly devastating, forcing them both to leave their jobs. Paul worked for as long as possible, but is now almost entirely debilitated by his current health challenges. He has recently undergone a number of unexpected procedures that his body is struggling to recover from, and Elsbeth is scheduled for a massive jaw replacement surgery in the coming months. Their hope for the coming year is to seek specialized medical care, assess their long term needs, potentially apply for disability (after a year of unemployment, per the Maine requirements), and, ultimately, to heal together. They have always taken care of each other, and they continue to do so now in the most selfless and loving ways. Their relationship is truly beautiful, but they need our help. The family feels that they need to take time to seek healing without carrying the burden of earning an income, while navigating their new needs.
