Hi everyone, this is Lexi! I’m starting this for my parents, Pat and Paula.

This past year has been unbelievably rough, with my brother Patrick getting in a motorcycle accident in July, and my dad needing surgery in October on his leg, leading to him now being unable to go back to work due to permanent nerve and artery damage. Disability is giving him less than half of what he was making weekly, and my mom is the only current working person in the house, but she doesn’t make a substantial amount of money, and can only work certain hours because of her hip replacement from a couple years back.

If you know my parents, you know they hate asking for anything. They’re always giving, they love to give people things and make them happy.

Which leads to why I’m doing this for them. As of the past month, things have gone into the dirt. My dad has not been able to return to work, and we don’t think he’s going to be able to with the nerve damage in his leg. We also just found out my mom’s car is unrepairable, and dad’s brakes on his truck went out. On top of all of that, they now cannot keep up with the bills in the house, and are really close to losing it.

I’m hoping I can really do something to take the weight off of my mom’s shoulders. I would like to work towards getting her a new car, and making sure my parents can keep the house afloat. I wish there was more I could do for them, but even I don’t make enough to really help out as much as I would love to.

I don’t know realistically what amount of money would make a difference, but I set it to $5,000 for the ability to find a decent used car for mom, and hopefully knock out a few bills and loan payments that are looming.

I know this is a long shot, but I thought I’d give it a go. I’ve seen miracles happen for others, and I wish my mom and dad could have one too. Thank you for reading. <3
