We are mourning the sudden loss of Pastor Jim Bzoskie, a faithful servant of God whose life was devoted to loving and helping others. For nearly five decades, Jim ministered to law enforcement, jail staff, inmates, and families throughout Dakota County, offering prayer, comfort, wisdom, and hope in life’s hardest moments. As founding pastor of Cornerstone Bible Church in Hastings, he lived his calling fully—showing up wherever God placed a need.

In a reflection of the life he lived, Pastor Jim’s final moments were spent helping a stranger in the snow outside the church he loved. After ensuring the motorist was safe, he returned to those doors, where the Lord called him home. His legacy of compassion, faith, and service has touched countless lives, and his absence leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew him.

This fundraiser is to help support Jim’s family with funeral and burial expenses as they grieve this sudden loss. Any gift is deeply appreciated and serves as a way to honor a man who gave so freely of his heart, his faith, and his life. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race.
