Support for Parsons Family

On Thursday, February 20th, we said goodbye to our favorite guy, Derek Parsons. Derek was my oldest cousin, my best friend, and a role model to me in every way. He was recently informed that he needed a new liver and was fighting to stay healthy until they found him a match. He fell ill Tuesday evening and was air lifted to Enloe ICU where he was put on life support and underwent a very risky surgery to relieve stress on his liver and stop internal bleeding. The surgery was successful, but the next morning, we were told he wasn't showing any neurological development, and his body was shutting down. His wife, Cassie & his mother, Mary, had to make the difficult decision to take him off of life support.

Derek was the father to two beautiful little girls, Emilia (8) and Charlotte (5) and husband to Cassie, the love of his life. Derek was the owner of Victory Tattoo, an excellent storyteller, a sasquatch hunter, and the favorite guest reader during story time at his daughters' school.

Due to the nature of the lifesaving care Derek received, Cassie is facing an insurmountable hospital debt on top of dealing with the loss of her husband and father to her children. My hope is to take this burden off of her plate by raising enough funds to cover the hospital expenses.

I have raised the donation goal due to the unforeseen expenses with Dereks tattoo shop Victory Tattoo. We are working to preserve the legacy left behind with Victory Tattoo which has come with unforeseen expenses.
