My 36-year-old son, Parris, was rushed to the ER by ambulance on Thursday, 1/15/26. He was complaining of a headache, which got unbearably worse overnight. While in the ER, Parris had a seizure. He was intubated. A CT scan showed swelling on the brain. An MRI showed he had several strokes and severe damage to the brain stem. Labs showed Parris has meningitis, COVID, pneumonia, a sinus infection, and shingles without a rash. Now it's Thursday, 1/29/26. Although Parris has been off sedation for 9 days, he remains in a coma. Parris has not woken up. The brain damage is so severe that Parris will not wake up. If he were to ever wake up, he would be in a vegetative state. I know this is not what he would want. As a mother, no mother would want their child to suffer. Parris had no insurance. I can't afford to lay my son to rest. I'm asking, no, I'm begging for any support. Please help me bury my son!
