Hello everyone,

My name is Leanne Hollingsworth, a senior nurse living in the UK and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of the people of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, who have been devastated by Hurricane Melissa. This parish is dear to my heart as this is were I lived during my early childhood years. This powerful storm tore through our communities, leaving many families without homes, food, clean water, and basic necessities. Roads are blocked, farmlands are destroyed, and many people have lost everything they worked so hard to build.

St. Elizabeth is known as the “breadbasket of Jamaica” a place where people work the land with pride and feed the nation. Now, those same farmers and families are struggling to recover.

I am raising funds to provide emergency relief and long-term rebuilding support for family and friends.

The funds will be used to:

Purchase food, clean water, and hygiene supplies for deprived families

Assist with temporary shelter and home repairs.

I will personally oversee the distribution of relief items and funds, working alongside local churches, community leaders and volunteers to ensure aid reaches those most in need. I will also provide evidence of how the money been spent by uploading photos on the go fund page.

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a real difference in restoring hope to our parish. Together, we can help St. Elizabeth rise again, stronger than before.
