Support for Papa Joe

On Saturday, August 17, 2019 our dad, Joe Grimm, was hospitalized after having two strokes. These strokes rendered the right side of Joe's body nearly useless. After a few days of testing and bringing in multiple specialists, it was discovered Joe had blockage in both of his carotid arteries. One artery is 50% clogged while the other one is 100% blocked. In most cases surgery would be the next step, however, because of the one artery being completely blocked there is no safe way to dislodge the blockage without causing further, permanent damage and/or possible death. In order to do a proper scan to better see where and how the blood is flowing, and if there are other options, there needs to be iodine injected into the blood stream. Unfortunately, Joe is allergic to iodine leaving that avenue not possible.
Our father has been a working man for over 40 years. He has been a loving, wonderful husband and father for 30+ beautiful years. He has always provided for his family. Approximately 5 months ago Joe was injured at work leaving him temporarily unemployed. With him no longer working, this caused him to lose eligibility towards health insurance. They are currently 5 days into hospitalization after having a multitude of scans, tests, MRI's, prescriptions, specialists, and physical therapy with no medical coverage.
This is an extremely devastating, yet humbling experience for our family in which we need to reach out to our community of family and friends to help alleviate the sting of current and future expenses for our mother and father. Any amount is a blessing and deeply appreciated.
If you are unable to donate financially, we would greatly appreciate your prayers and words of encouragement for Joe, his wife and our mother Sharon, as well as us, his children; Tim, Josh and Kristi.
Thank you in advance. Every little bit helps. God Bless You.
