On the evening of January 16, just two
days after her 16th birthday, the McClintock family experienced an unimaginable tragedy. My niece, Paige McClintock, was involved in a vehicle-versus-pedestrian accident on SE 19th Avenue near SE Tudor Way. Despite the best efforts of first responders and medical staff, Paige passed away from her injuries at just 16 years old. The accident occurred as Paige and another sibling were pushing a rolling tool chest in the roadway, and her older sister, Kirah, was following them in a car at a slow, walking speed. This was a true accident and a tragedy for all involved that night. This heartbreaking event has left the McClintock family and the entire community in deep mourning.
Paige was a beautiful soul—spunky, smart, caring, and deeply compassionate about her family. Her smile was contagious, and her presence lit up every room she entered. Her parents and siblings are heartbroken, struggling to process the loss of their youngest child and sister. During this incredibly difficult time, we are hoping to raise funds to help Paige’s parents take time off work to grieve, and to cover funeral, burial, and related arrangements. Any support you can offer, whether through a donation or by sharing this fundraiser, will help ease the burden on her family as they navigate this painful journey.
As this family tries to wrap their heads around this tragedy, please pray for peace in their hearts. Thank you for keeping Paige and her family in your thoughts, and for any support you can provide. Fly high Baby Girl, you will never be forgotten. We will treasure the precious moments we got—your time here was short but made a great impact. Love you Wage.
