Support for Our Twin Boys' NICU Journey
Donation protected

We were told by my doctor at 24 weeks that I was no longer able to work due to being such a high-risk pregnancy, as well as a hospital stay in St. Cloud because they thought the babies were coming then! Our baby boys were born at 33 weeks via emergency C-section. We were airlifted from Willmar, MN to Maple Grove, MN immediately after finding out there were no open beds in St. Cloud. We went into the ER at 6 pm on 8/23/24 in Willmar, and at 11 pm that same evening, our babies were here. They were taken and placed on respiratory support, IVs, and feeding tubes. They are currently still in the NICU in Maple Grove, 2 hours from our home. They were both advancing well until 9/1 when Dracub was found with blood in his stool. He has air pockets in his intestines and liver, accompanied by fever, and recent labs showing he has NEC.
*Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) is a life-threatening intestinal disease that primarily affects premature babies.*

We are asking for donations to help with medical and monthly bills, especially when time is needed to take off work, travel expenses to visit our boys, and just overall help. As we all know, life can really pile it on. Thank you.
