For the past 14 months, we’ve been quietly preparing for one of the biggest journeys our family has ever faced. On May 28th, our son begins his stem cell transplant in Nashville, and our family will be temporarily relocating for an extended season of treatment and recovery. After prayer and encouragement from family and friends, we created this GoFundMe to help support the non-medical and living expenses associated with this journey, allowing us to stay fully focused on our son’s healing.
Our son’s health journey began last year when he suffered a stroke just two days after my job ended. Since then, we’ve been navigating a very different season of life, relying on my husband’s self-employment for income. As a result, when he is unable to work, income is limited, and the upcoming 90-day stay in Nashville will naturally require us to manage ongoing household and travel expenses in two locations.
A meaningful part of this journey is that his sister, Payton, is a 100% match. This allows him to move forward with a sibling donor stem cell transplant, which is a significant and hopeful step in his treatment plan. Payton will also undergo a medical procedure so her stem cells can be collected for the transplant, and we are deeply grateful for this gift within our family.
Donations will help support day-to-day living expenses such as housing, food, gas, and household needs while we are away in Nashville and continuing to maintain our home in Huntsville.
More than anything, we ask for your prayers and support. Whether you choose to give, share, or simply stand with us in prayer, we are truly grateful. Thank you for walking alongside our family during this season.
