Support for Our Son’s DIPG Journey

Our family is going through the hardest time of our lives, and we are asking for help as we focus on caring for our son. Our six-year-old son was recently diagnosed with a rare and aggressive brain tumor called a diffuse midline glioma (DIPG). Over the past year and a half, we have fought to understand what was happening, navigating countless appointments, tests, and treatments. Recently, after a biopsy, we received confirmation of this diagnosis, and our world has been turned upside down.

When we first received radiation treatment, we were incredibly grateful to see a strong response. For a time, it gave us hope and more precious moments together. But in recent weeks, his condition has changed rapidly, and now we are facing a much more difficult reality. Children at this stage of this disease often have a very limited life expectancy, and we are doing everything we can to make every moment count. Despite everything he is going through, our son continues to fight every single day. He still tries to smile, communicate, and be present with us, even as his body struggles. Watching him go through this has been both heartbreaking and humbling. He now requires constant care and assistance with basic daily activities. We are doing everything we can to keep him comfortable, safe, and surrounded by love.

Because of this, I have had to miss a significant amount of work, and we are now facing unexpected financial strain. In addition to medical expenses, we are trying to quickly obtain equipment to properly care for him at home—items that insurance will take weeks or even months to provide. Unfortunately, time is something we may not have the luxury of waiting for. This fundraiser will help us: cover lost income while we remain at his side, purchase necessary medical and mobility equipment immediately, support ongoing medical and caregiving needs, and allow us to focus fully on our son without the added weight of financial stress. If you are able to give, we are deeply grateful. If not, simply sharing this page means more than you know. Most importantly, we ask for your thoughts and prayers for our son. Thank you for standing with our family during this time.
