Our hearts are heavy as we share this, but we are also hopeful in the power of community.

A truly great guy, a fellow rockhound, and a friend to many is currently recovering in the hospital after a devastating auto accident that occurred just before Christmas. He was ejected from his vehicle and sustained multiple serious injuries. While he is fighting hard and making progress, his road to recovery will be long and challenging.

He is the sole breadwinner for his family, and with him unable to work, the weight of medical bills, everyday expenses, and the uncertainty ahead is overwhelming. At home, his significant other and child are depending on him—not just emotionally, but financially—and right now they need all of us.

If you know him, you know he’s the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone else. He’s passionate about rockhounding, always willing to share knowledge, lend a hand, and build others up. Now it’s our turn to show up for him.

We are asking our community—friends, family, fellow rockhounds, and kind strangers—to come together during this incredibly difficult time. Any donation, no matter the size, will help ease the burden and allow this family to focus on healing rather than survival.
