Our beautiful little boy Reuben has just turned two. What should have been a joyful milestone has instead become something unimaginably difficult for our family.

In February 2026, our lives were turned upside down when Reuben was diagnosed with Krabbe Disease, a rare and devastating form of Leukodystrophy. It is a progressive, degenerative condition that affects the nervous system, gradually taking away a child’s abilities and, heartbreakingly, comes with a very limited life expectancy.

Every day with Reuben is precious. We are holding onto every smile, every giggle, every moment we’re lucky enough to share with him. While we cannot change his diagnosis, we are determined to make his life as full of comfort, joy, and love as possible.

We are raising funds to give Reuben the best quality of life we can during the time he has. One of our biggest hopes is to build a safe, sensory-friendly soft play area at home - a space where he can play, relax, and feel secure as his needs change. We also want to ensure we can access any additional support, equipment, therapies and experiences that will bring him comfort and happiness.
