In late summer last year, My wife Lynn was devastated when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Long talks and weighing options, it was decided to undergo a mastectomy of one of her breasts. Further testing showed she had the markings to also have it in her other breast. Still suffering from that loss again the decision was made to tragically remove the other breast. As we try to wrap our heads around this horrible outcome, other news came 3 months later when I was diagnosed with colon/rectal cancer. In that came radiation and chemotherapy. We tried to help each other as much as we could, relying on family and friends to get us going in opposite directions. Me with treatment, Lynn with the painful process reconstruction. With both of us enduring the pain and trying to keep smiles on our faces. For a year this went on and finally the end was in site. A colonoscopy almost a year to the day of the first that started my journey, it is back. And progressing. This will remove me from work possibly for months. I have no vacation or sick time due to last year. And most likely loose my insurance. As medical bills pile up, and no end in site. We need to ask for help. For food on the table, for expensive meds we need to take and prayers we need to get through this. Anything you can spare will help. Thank you.
