Support for our neighbors affected in the fire ♥️

12/7/18

Early on Friday morning, the building of Cleveland and Hartford Avenue was woken up to the sound of a fire alarm, commotion and the smell of smoke.
As scared and freaked out as we all were, we still worked together to make sure we all got out safely together.

Together we crossed the street to watch the third floor go up in flames and wait for the fire trucks.

The 589 portion of the building itself isn’t livable for 2 weeks but thankfully, most people can move back into their apartments  immediately or within a few days.

Unfortunately, 3 apartments have been traumatically affected:

- apartment (#7, where the fire started) has nothing left and she is greiving the loss of her poor kitty cat.

- apartment (#17) has been completely destroyed and they have lost everything.

- apartment (#3) has severe water damage and may have to leave his apartment and possibly losing major belongings.

My hope is to raise enough money to disperse amongst our neighbors affected to offer at least a little financial relief during this traumatic time.

We have so much to be thankful for in the fact that we are all alive and safe.

I’d like to see us all come together again like we did that night.
Those who can help, please do ♥️
