Hello, my name is April Walfield Chaisson.

I am reaching out to you at a time of need as my mother in-law Muriel (Broderick) Maryatt needs your help.

In recent months, Muriel had a slip and fell at home, in which she endured a broken hip.

Muriel then had to have a hip replacement as a result.

This meant she spent 6 weeks healing in hospital before she was physically okay to go home to her own bed, in which she was so grateful for.

Her spirits were truly lifted when she was able to go spend Thanksgiving with family and things seemed to be going better as time passed.

It wasn't long after that Muriel was struck down again, she suffered a heart attack and was admitted to Prince County Hospital where they stabilized her and watched her closely in ICU for a 1.5 weeks, until she could be sent to Saint John N.B for further tests.

The results of those tests show that she has several severe blockages and one being to her main artery but she is not healthy enough to endure open heart surgery (by pass).

The specialists gave her two options, 1- they could send her home with medication that would not reverse her condition but may help prolong her life or 2- They could attempt what would be a risky procedure for her, place stents in blockages, which Muriel opted for.

This has been an extremely trying time for Muriel as well as her family; Bernadette Perry, Raymond (Lana) Chaisson and Peter (April) Chaisson.

Not only has this brought on much worry and sadness but also financial strain. Her family has been by her side daily to meet with Doctors for discussions , whether it means they drive over daily or pay for accommodations, they are there!

At this time we are hoping that anyone that is able to donate does so and or shares this fundraiser.

Prayers would be greatly appreciated as well.

Any funds raised will aid with medical expenses as well as travel and accommodations to keep her family with her during this trying time.
