On the night of April 2nd, our mom and little brother were in a tragic accident after being hit by a car that ran a red light while racing. Our 13 year-old little brother fortunately escaped with bruises and shock, but my mom suffered four broken ribs and is currently in the ICU. 

Our mom is a single mother and currently lives only with our little brother, making her the sole provider for her home and parent to our brother. She works as a housekeeper at a hotel, which is a physically demanding job, and has always worked hard to raise all four of her children on her own. Despite everything, she remains a positive, lighthearted person with a great sense of humor.

Due to her injuries, she won’t be able to work for some time and won’t have a reliable method of transportation after recovery. The funds raised here will go directly toward her rent, recovery costs, and a potential method of transportation for when she’s able to drive again. We are seeking help to keep a roof over her head and for our little brother while giving her the time she needs to heal without the added stress of the financial burden this incident has created.
