Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out during one of the hardest times my family has ever faced. My mom is currently in the ICU. She’s been there for the past three days, and doctors have told us she’ll be there for a while as she fights to recover.

Those of you who know my mom, know that she’s is nothing but caring and she’s definitely a giver if I ever knew one. She was always proud to be everyone’s Mom. She always made sure our friends were fed and safe and she was willing to drop everything just to make sure her kids and grandkids had everything they needed. I want her to have the luxury to know what that feels like, to be the one taken care of, not just physically.

My brother James — who has done his best to care for her since her last life threatening surgery — has put everything on hold to be by her side 24/7. He’s given up any sense of normal life just to make sure our mom has everything she needs during this critical time.

But with everything happening so fast, their bills have started to pile up. Rent is due, the water and electric bills are unpaid, and he’s just trying to stay afloat while focusing on what matters most — her recovery.

We’re hoping to raise at least $3,000 to cover:

• $800 in rent

• Past-due utility bills

• Basic living expenses while my brother cares for himself, our mom’s house, and her dog full-time
