Unfortunately, yesterday…. My love and I found out our new little girl has a rare form of Cystic Hygroma. 

This means she has a group of cysts forming around her neck and spine which was caused by an error in the development of the lymph vessels.  These vessels carry fats and immune system cells and since they are developing abnormally it has become not only dangerous for her but also for me.

If I continue this pregnancy I will face a 85% chance of pre-term labor and severe preeclampsia. Our doctor has advised us, against our deepest wishes, that this pregnancy is too risky for both me and the baby. 

I feel like my breath had been taken away, what does one do in this situation?  The only reasonable decision I can come to is that I have two beautiful daughters that need me now. I have a family that I have to support and be alive and well for. With all my prayers and tears we have decided to go ahead with the suggested procedure.

These times could not be harder....not only do we have to face this horrific decision (without any coverage from insurance) but it's also the same month that my first daughter was born who was taken from us three years ago from heart and lung failure,  Juliana was 6 years old. 

All I ask is that you consider our family. Open your hearts and help if you can. We are so humbled and grateful for anything and everything we receive. Especially prayers.
