Hi Everyone,
As much as we hate to ask for this, we need some serious help with our Siberian husky. We were walking her in Dana Point Harbor and someone left a fishing line with bait on it. Being the girl she is, she went for it and swallowed the fish hook. We immediately took her to emergency vet services, where they said she had already fully swallowed the hook and it was in her stomach. The fishing line was still hanging out of her mouth with the lure attached, so the line ran all the way to her stomach! They performed surgery to remove it and fortunately saved her from any puncture wounds, but not without leaving us with a near $6,000 bill. Anything, anything, anything helps. We would never put our girl in a place where she couldn’t be cared for, and are asking anyone to help who can. She is such a loved girl and is getting old. We’re hoping this is the last of any more medical bills, assuming she has no infections later on.
PLEASE repost even for awareness - pick up your things and don’t leave hooks and bait lying around
