Reyna suffered a stroke Thursday morning. She is currently being treated in Englewood Hospital. She is under the best care and we are hoping for a positive recovery.

We all know Reyna as she has been a pillar in our community for over 30 years. Her original “Reyna’s Paper Dolls Etc” store in downtown Tenafly was the place to get kids toys and things. She welcomed everyone that came to the store as a friend. Kids would come drop their backpacks and shop, always welcome. Years later from her store in the JCC she would greet her “next generation dolls” with a smile and a hug. She was so excited recently when she moved her store from the JCC back to downtown Tenafly. Reyna has always greeted everyone with a kind word and lent an ear to help and support us. We are, after all, her “dolls”.

Her daughter Alexis is flying home and her husband Richie is patiently awaiting news as he can’t go to the hospital.

As you know the store has been closed due to the pandemic and no one is sure if she will be able to open on June 15 when the restrictions are lifted.
