My family and I have been facing some of the toughest challenges of our lives. For the past two years, my wife has been battling heart failure. She currently wears a life vest, which acts as an external defibrillator, and we pay for this life-saving device out of pocket. The doctors are now deciding whether she will need an internal defibrillator or even a heart transplant. The uncertainty and the medical decisions ahead make this an incredibly difficult year for us.

At the same time, I am undergoing treatment for a seizure disorder, PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and therapy for many broken bones I’ve suffered over the years. The hospital bills and ongoing medical expenses have become overwhelming, and we are struggling to keep up with the costs of care, therapy, and travel for treatment. As a family of seven, every bit of support means the world to us.
