I went to Newton-Wellesley for a flu and found out I had COVID, pneumonia, blood clots, fluid, and a bacterial infection all in my lungs. They rushed me in an ambulance to Mass General Hospital in Boston, MA.

I was immediately placed in ICU, and they first put a coil in my chest to stop a blood bubble from exploding and going into my body and killing me. From there, I learned my sodium was 120 and at a critical level. If I had waited one more day, I would have passed away. After weeks there, they sent me home with a PICC line IV for at least a year. I'll have to give myself IV antibiotics 3 times a week, and I also have home care nurse and doctor appointments every week. I'm now on 8 medications, not including the IV, and can't walk or barely breathe. I'm stuck in bed for at least another few months. I'm also on fluid restriction, only 1 liter of fluids a day, and some medicine like urea isn't covered. That alone is $150 for every 2 weeks.

I've been stuck in bed since the end of November and am being tested for cystic fibrosis. The antibiotics can cause me to go blind and deaf. I was supporting my elderly disabled parents who have health issues themselves. My mom recently got out of ICU life support and had to learn to walk, talk, and eat. She has heart problems, asthma, COPD, emphysema, liver and kidney disease, and mental health issues since my sister was murdered 5 years ago. My dad is currently blind from extremely bad cataracts in both eyes, waiting for his surgery in 2 months. He has had 13 surgeries combined between both knees for tumors and has no cartilage or meniscus disk in his knees.

We are currently living in a hotel for the last two years because our rent doubled after the lease ended, and we are being evicted from the hotel next month. I never thought I would ask for money or make a GoFundMe, but we are going to be living outside if I didn't. We are without a car and paying for Uber to all appointments, and it isn't easy. Half the time, we have to cancel appointments because we can't afford the ride.
