Since November 2025, our family has been navigating an incredibly difficult and unexpected medical journey during my pregnancy. I am currently 31 weeks pregnant, and while our baby girl is healthy and growing strong, I have faced serious kidney and bladder complications that have required extensive medical care.

In November, my right kidney became completely blocked and I required emergency surgery to place an external nephrostomy drain. Since then, I’ve experienced frequent hospitalizations due to severe pain from passing kidney stones, infections, and other complications. I’ve undergone multiple procedures, had a preterm labor scare at 28 weeks, and completed several rounds of IV antibiotics—both in the hospital and at home.

I currently have a PICC line and will remain on 24-hour IV antibiotics until our baby is born in March. I have infected kidney stones and continue to form new stones at a rapid rate. Due to the risks involved during pregnancy, stone removal surgery is not considered safe until after delivery. We are planning a C-section in March, followed by another surgery for me once I have recovered.

Since early November, I have spent nearly 40 days in the hospital. I have been unable to work since the first trimester of my pregnancy and am currently on unpaid leave. My husband is our sole financial provider at this time and has also had to take leave from work to support our family. While he qualifies for paid leave, the medical expenses and loss of income have added significant financial strain.

We created this GoFundMe after family and friends—many of whom live out of town—asked for ways to help or support us during this time. This is not something we are particularly comfortable sharing, and we truly do not expect anything from anyone. However, any support—whether through donations, prayers, or sharing—means more than we can express.

We are incredibly grateful for the love, encouragement, and support we’ve received, especially from those who have helped care for our 4-year-old during this long and difficult journey. The kindness shown to our family has made an overwhelming situation more manageable and has brought so much comfort to our son during a time of uncertainty.
