Hey everyone,
Our mom’s in hospice care now here in Florida after far too long with cancer. My siblings and I drove down from Georgia, left work, everything, just to do our best with her these last few days. She’s the sweetest soul—anyone who knows her knows she’d drop anything for you, no hesitation. Literally the best mom we could have wished for: warm, funny, ALWAYS there. Now we are sharing motels, UBERS, and food costs are piling up while we are away from home. Insurance covers the medical, but we need help with our travel, meals, and final expenses so nothing’s left behind.
I gotta be honest, Mom’s always been private, hated attention, and I’m kinda torn about posting this. But options are limited, so I’m just doing what needs to be done. My siblings have come down to visit too—there’s three of us still here by her side—but we get it: life happens, not everyone can drop everything and stay. We’re taking turns where we can.
$5000 gets us through these weeks and gives her the quiet send-off she so much deserves. Even ten bucks means I can grab my aunt a coffee or something, who has also tirelessly been by her side since this began, stay until the end, or just sit without stressing. Can’t donate? Share it—means the world
She taught us kindness pays back—hope it does now. Love you all. From me and my siblings for our Mother.
