My name is Joe Arreola. I am 53 years old and recently diagnosed with end-stage renal disease, and my kidneys are functioning at 12%. In order to keep my body from accumulating toxins, I have to do nightly dialysis at home until I can get a kidney transplant. Daily activities have become exhausting and I am not strong enough to return to work.

I am my family’s sole financial provider.

My wife is a full-time, homeschooling parent and caregiver to our 16-year-old daughter who has Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and several other medical diagnoses. She is currently not able to work due to the educational, behavioral, and caregiving needs of our daughter.
