On December 24, our lives changed when our daughter became very sick. We rushed her to the hospital in Bowling Green, and from there, she was transferred to the Children's Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. We spent Christmas and New Year's in the hospital, far from home, with our three kids staying with their dad. Our daughter has had to undergo multiple surgeries in just one week, and she is still in the hospital at Vanderbilt. We cannot go home until she is well enough, and every day is a challenge as we wait and hope for her recovery.

This situation has put a tremendous strain on our family. My husband has had to stop working so he can be by our daughter's side and help care for her. On top of that, our food assistance was cut, making it even harder to provide for our family. We are struggling to cover our rent, utilities, and basic needs like food. The uncertainty and stress have been overwhelming, but we are doing everything we can to stay strong for our children.
